Rachelle's life has gone to the dogs! Literally.....
Rachelle founded and operated Dogs Crossing: Canine Training and Pet Services for over thirteen years. Over those years, it grew to be one of Vancouver's largest all-service pet care companies. The company continues to this day, but has changed ownership due to her move to the island.
Between Rachelle and her husband, they created Lead Me Leashes. A dog leash company, inspired by their love for all things boats and dogs. They used marine grade rope and traditional splicing techniques. Being that Rachelle was in the dog walking industry, they were one of the first leash companies to create a hands free dog leash. No longer in production, but you will likely spot some of their gear throughout this site and as a staple piece on Rachelle on most days.
Rachelle's first Doberman Moose was her training partner/coworker, and soul dog. Rachelle will always be found intaking, training and adopting out rescue Dobermans. Every time a new Doberman enters her life, she tells Moose, that its all his fault that he started this obsession and passion for all things Doberman.
Rachelle regularly competes in Obedience, Rally, and Scent Detection with her own pack of dogs.
Besides dogs, Rachelle has a house full of unusual critters, exotic pets, and farm animals. She has an 'adopted' chimpanzee Sue Ellen from the Fauna Foundation. A sanctuary near and dear to her heart. To read more of Rachelle's professional bio please refer to our training page.
